How long does home automation installation take?
A wireless retrofit for a 2BHK can take a few days once devices arrive; a wired system in a new build follows the construction programme, with cabling before plaster and programming at the end. Ask for a written schedule with milestones and who signs off each stage.
What should work if the internet goes down?
Lights, switches, locks and scenes should still work locally from the wall and, ideally, from the app on home Wi-Fi. Ask the integrator to demonstrate an offline test at handover and list which features need the cloud.
