Example report
From a test quotation for Lutron dimmers and Philips Hue bulbs. Your report depends on your quote.
4 × ₹6,500 = ₹26,000, but the quote says ₹28,000. Ask: “Please correct or explain the line amount.”
No hub or bridge listed for the smart dimmers. Ask: “Is a hub needed for app control, and is it included?”
Warranty and exclusions not stated. Ask: “What is the warranty on equipment and installation, and what is excluded?”
How it works
Ved keeps your contact details out of the research and never shares your quote with installers or vendors.
Questions
Check that every line has a brand, exact model and quantity; that quantity × rate matches each amount; that programming, installation and any controller or gateway are included; and that warranty, payment milestones and exclusions are written down. Then compare model rates with current Indian listings. Ved’s quote checker does these checks for you and lists the questions to ask your installer.
An itemised list of devices with brand, model, quantity and rate; controllers, hubs or gateways; programming and commissioning; installation and civil work; networking if the system relies on it; GST treatment; warranty and AMC terms; payment milestones; validity; and a list of exclusions.

Ved doesn’t accuse installers or give one “right” price. It shows where a quoted rate sits against Indian listings found that day, explains that listings are not installed prices, and gives you polite questions to ask about the difference.
A PDF or a photo (JPG, PNG or WebP) of the quotation, up to 4 MB. You can correct anything Ved misreads before the research starts.
No. The file is read by an AI model to extract the line items and is not stored by Nexoforma. Names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, GSTIN and PAN are removed from what is read, and web searches use only brand and model names. The redacted line items and Ved’s report are kept for up to 48 hours, then deleted. Nothing is shared with installers or vendors.
It depends on what you automate, the brand and whether the home is wired or retrofitted, so a single number is misleading. Use the budget planner to price your own room list, and use the quote checker to see whether a specific quotation is complete and in line with current listings.
